Really lovely location, beautiful, peaceful and a good time in nature. While nice, the house is a bit older than the photos let on. So a fair bit of the appliances are older than expected and the bathrooms/spaces are well worn. Probably best suited for a group of 4-6? Depending on the group you bring, it's either the perfect cabin escape or you wish there was a little more work done. Either way, the host was great and flexible. I would stay again with a smaller group of friends.

This river cottage is fabulously from a bygone era. We were there in 90° weather and had a blast. Fireflies entertained us at night. The sleeping porch was a dream. Andrew left enough notes to guide our stay. We spent some time in Scandinavia and Marine, and made most our own meals. Place is well supplied. Fun fun fun

Thank you so much for sharing your family home with us, Andrew. Andrew is a great communicator and this property is a slice of heaven. We rented several houses in the area to house our wedding guests and Summer Cottage was one of the most raved about. Don't hesitate to book!

Loved it! We spent a ladies weekend here reconnecting and enjoying the scenery. The place is so cute and unique! Loved the book collection and art. Andrew was very communicative and gave recommendations for a winery close by which was great. We swam in the river and enjoyed grilling outside. I was a little nervous about no AC in the hot summer but Andrew provided many fans and an extra one with a note just in case, which worked out very well. It was a wonderful weekend here! Thank you!

My mother lives 5 miles from Andrew’s house. We had family coming and going over a 10-day period to celebrate her 97th birthday, and we needed overflow lodging. Andrew extended his season to accommodate us. This is the place to come to retreat from the world and enjoy the beautiful St. Croix River. You can enjoy the view, or get out on the river. The house has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. We enjoyed a fire on a chilly October evening, while playing games. Andrew’s house would be perfect for a summer get-away.
