Lodge 88 is a beautiful home in a prime location on a fun lake. The home is a lot more spacious inside than expected, has everything you would need in the kitchen for cooking, grilling and chilling (literally everything you might need). This lodge has the character of the country yet all the amenities of home. The paddle boats and kayaks were awesome for fishing and playing, the rod n reels and life vets were appreciated (finally figured out the fish a few days in!) and we spent most of our time outside playing games in the yard and evenings around the fire pit or playing cards. The rooms were all very comfortable. We are already scoping out dates for our next trip! You are off the main highway and can hear vehicles drive by if you’re listening for it. It didn’t deter the moose and two calf’s, muskrat, ducks, fish, falcon’s or eagles from making their appearance! It’s honestly one of the more unique places to stay- we had plans to explore but never left the property!

We stay at a lot of Airbnb's and this was one of our recent favorites for a casual AK getaway. Communication was great, checking in and out was easy. The place was clean, very organized (we loved that every cupboard was labeled on the outside) and extremely well stocked with just about anything we needed ranging from kitchen items to bug spray to board games. Lots of supplies were available to make this feel cozy and almost like a camp vibe with hammocks, an amazing fire pit, roasting supplies, wood and lots of chairs. They even had waders in the boathouse area, fishing supplies, etc. We loved the view and watching the resident bald eagle catch trout. (Fishing was fun for us too!) The house is older and humble, so if you are wanting a cabin-in-the-woods-vibe, this is great.The ONLY downside we could come up with was that you could hear the road noise since it is right off the highway. That said, it's really tucked away through the trees and is not visible so it still felt private.

This place is amazing! We had such a great time! Beautiful home and plenty to keep us busy or relax if we wanted.
