自我介绍

I'm a retired teacher and optician. Most of my teaching was done over 40 years ago in Tunisia, Germany and Switzerland where I taught English as a foreign language. For my international guests my ability to communicate in German and French has faded but I can still make myself understood in those languages. I love alfresco dining. I seek out the tiny cafes and restaurants with outdoor seating. If the menu is Asian or Indian AND the tablecloths are white, there's where Ill be dining! When I travel I prefer seeing the inside of a private home to the inside of a cathedral. And likewise, I enjoy making one of my apartments available to visitors, hoping they're eager to experience a genuine feel for the friendly midwest. To the people already living in the midwest, my apartment is a sweet alternative to an impersonal hotel room. Summertime on Oliver' Landing (the deck) is super! There'a a grill ready for barbecuing and patio heaters for cool evenings..and yes, I'll always have a white table cloth ready for you!
