This is my family home, and the village where I grew up. I enjoy travelling the world, but Summerville Centre will always be home. It never occurred to me growing up in a rural Nova Scotia that one day it would be a highly sought-after vacation spot for many travellers, domestic and international. Our place is perfectly situated for beach-loving couples and families. A short 600 m walk to the one-mile white sands of Summerville Beach, and a quick car ride away from White Point Beach Resort, The Quarterdeck, turquoise waters of Carters Beach(es) - actually 3 beaches in one. Kejimkujik Seaside National Park is about a 10 minute drive away if you fancy a hike to St. Catherine's beach. You can see seals regularly basking the summer days away on the rocks. You will hear them before you see them! If you seek metropolitan activities, you are about 1 hour 45 minutes from downtown Halifax, and approx. 2 hours from Halifax Stanfield International Airport. The closest town, Liverpool, is about a 15 minute drive, and has all the amenities you will need to stock the kitchen. The area is also perfectly situated for the travelling foodie. Enjoy the bounty of the sea from several restaurants within a 10 minute drive from cottage - lobster, scallops, clams, mussels, and haddock.
