Steven and Tina were very welcoming and greeted us with big warm smiles it made us feel very welcome the place itself is very beautiful and peaceful. Had a lovely stay over the weekend and would definitely book again and recommend anyone else to do so as you will not regret it.
We had a very friendly welcome from Steven and Tina. The pear tree cottage is situated on the couple's estate in the middle of fields and is equipped with everything you need for a stay. It is tastefully furnished and very clean, so you can feel comfortable immediately. Communication with both of them was always quick and easy. Beaches and Canterbury, as well as other beautiful places, are within easy reach. Thanks for the tips and information. We highly recommend the pear Cottage.

Hawthorn farm is in a very quiet, rural location and is very convenient for commuting to Westwood Cross Shopping Center and some nearby (15-20 mins driving range) gorgeous beaches. Steve and Lisa were great hosts, responding promptly at all times. Although Peartree cottage was ideal, with a lovely bathroom and a comfortable bed, it has very limited sitting area inside the cottage. Also Steve and Lisa don't provide supply such as towels, tea towels, oven gloves, tea/coffee, toilet rolls etc. due to the Covid restrictions. However, with request they provide towels. Washing-machine is not available. There is also a "good-bye list to do before leave this house, for instance; stripping the beds, basic cleaning of floors and surfaces and leaving windows open. In overall, I found this place quite pricey but love its atmosphere.. It is surrounded with some local farmers where you could buy pear, apples, eggs, etc..
Pear Tree cottage is beautifully situated in the pear fields of Kent. The cottage is comfortable and well furnished with lots of light coming in. Ideal place for 2 with own private garden and a jacuzzi.

Thank you for considering booking one of our cottages at Hawthorn Farm! We moved here in September 2016, and still pinch ourselves everyday to check that we're not dreaming... This is such a beautiful spot in the heart of the Kent countryside, and we really hope you'll get to come and enjoy the peace and tranquility for yourselves! We have been lovingly renovating and updating all the cottages to create a comfy home-from-home base for our guests to stay. We've tried to think of everything that will make your stay enjoyable, including kitchen equipment and gadgets in every cottage (dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, remote controlled fan etc.) and a cupboard full of indoor and outdoor games/toys and DVDs for adults and kids of all ages to borrow. Our resident donkeys are very friendly, and love to meet new faces. We also have 2 rescue cats who might come and say hello from time-to-time, unless you have come on holiday with your dog to one of our 2 dog-friendly cottages. In which case, they'll stay well away! It's been a wonderful experience developing our holiday cottage business, as well as an enjoyable learning curve, getting to make continuous improvements as we learn what makes our guests happy, and keep them returning! We were absolutely thrilled to receive our first award in March 2020 for "Recognition of Excellence" and consistently producing high satisfaction ratings among our guests and travel industry experts.
