the house was a beautiful setting. beds were comfortable and kitchen was well stocked. house was a bit on the cold side again gas heater doesn't work but mobile heaters provided. we certainly enjoyed our stay with easy access to bike tracks and walking paths. the cafe next door was also a huge hit with our child. thank you.

We enjoyed a short family break at Debbie & Rays in April 2024. We found the place to be a great location, lovely environment with great views, peaceful and relaxing. Plenty of space both indoors and out, lots of handy amenities and everything we needed was on hand. The house is spacious, bright and clean, perfect for a family break, and our kids enjoyed the having the pool available. The location is great, only about five minutes or so from the centre of Mildura, so close enough to run into town for food, shopping and other activities, yet far enough away from the noise of the suburbs. There is a great walking track around Lake Hawthorn, lots of bird life and picturesque views. Mildura itself is a great spot for a break, plenty to see and do, loads of great restaurants, close to the border which allows opportunities to explore parts of New South Wales as well as Victoria. Debbie and Ray were great hosts, extremely helpful and always prompt with their replies.

From the moment we drove through the front gates we felt relaxed. We enjoyed not having neighbours and just enjoyed the peace and quiet. The home itself was so large and homely with the added bonus of a piano, books and an array of games to while away the time, admittedly we didn’t need them as our time was spend out on the large decking, sipping cocktails, looking out over the lake and the birdlife. I do suggest anyone staying here bring aerogard to deter those pesky bugs you get around water. The pool was clean and a welcome relief at the end of the day to cool down after being out sightseeing. Across the lake at night you can see the lights of Mildura. This location would be fabulous for a working groups and planning sessions. It would have been so easy to stay here and not leave the property. Would I recommend it, you bet I would and I do.
