Seeking tenants to lease our home for one year while we are away (July 2024-July2025). The house is a 100+-year-old millhouse with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The location is in a wonderful neighborhood close to 9th Street and Hillsborough Rd. and is an easy commute to Duke by foot, bike, or bus. Grocery stores, coffeeshops, and restaurants are a short walk away. There are beautiful gardens with fruit trees and flowers, and a large vegetable plot. Bedroom 1: Double bed with large desk Bedroom 2: Bunkbeds (could be unstacked) Living room: sectional couch, sound system, and piano Kitchen: Fully-stocked eat-in kitchen Front porch: porch swing and dining area. Backyard: Garden, swingset, and picnic table.

Old West Durham is a historic neighborhood that houses a mix of students and families. It is fairly quiet with lots of people out and about. Many of the old houses that still stand, including this one, were built by Erwin Cotton Mill to house the textile mill workers. It's a great place to go for a walk and there is lots to do nearby.

Walkable to Duke and to three grocery stores (Harris Teeter, Food Lion, and Whole Foods), as well as restaurants, shops, and bars on 9th St. Downtown Durham is 1.5 miles away (about a 30 min. walk). The Bull City Connector is a fare-free bus that runs from nearby Main St. to downtown and also to Duke campus and Hospital. There are also city bus stops nearby on Hillsborough Rd.
