We stayed here last year and had no issues so we booked again and were disappointed. The unit didn't seem like it had been recently cleaned (cobwebs) and there was a hole in the wall behind the door. The hosts were responsive and helpful in moving us to a new unit after we had an issue with the original listing, but the quality was not what we expected after our stay last year. the doors didn't close or lock easily and we didn't have enough silverware for two people. Overall, we had higher expectations and the price wasn't worth the quality of the accomodations.

The ability to control the heat in the winter is the killer feature. Some other units at Washoe Lodge don't have it!

I love the Washoe. It’s a throwback, old-California drive up motel with a 90s mountain aesthetic. It’s clean and cheap and truly a great place to stay if you have dogs and want to be close to the mountain. You just cannot beat this price in Tahoe!
