We had an absolutely amazing few days at the pump house with our dogs , so nice we did not want to leave at all !! Located in the most peaceful and beautiful place , down a single farm stack , although there were not road signs we found the place fist time with graces helpful direction. The place is exactly as described. I couldn’t recommend this place more for a peaceful break with your dogs , walks from the door step and a big secure garden , and we got to see the owl nesting , amazing !! Thank you so much Grace you were helpful from start to finish !

We had an amazing time at the Pump House. Situated in the middle of a valley full of fields and woods, it was peaceful, quiet and beautiful. We really enjoyed being surrounded by the local birds and wildlife (Hares, Deer, etc.). We had only the occasional walker/mountain biker past the Pump House and it felt like we had the whole valley to ourselves, it was great. Grace left us great recommendations for local walks and places to take our dog. Grace was also extremely helpful and friendly in all our interactions with her. We loved the resident barn owl and would check up on her from time to time on the video feed to the TV. Highly recommend the Pump House for anyone wanting to get away into the countryside. We can’t wait to go back!

We had a fabulous 4 nights at The Pump House. We knew exactly what to expect, from the bumpy single track lane leading to the house, to the possible owl noises in the loft. The location was perfect for us and our nervous dog. A huge fenced garden with just the occasional horse or walker passing by on the public footpath/track. Grace told us of several walks and we did a beautiful one from the doorstep, up the track into some woods and back via the fields. The house itself was cosy, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Grace was a fantastic host and gave us lots of walk and dog friendly pub recommendations. If you took all your food with you, you could lock yourself away from the outside world and just enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside without getting your car out again. We went out daily, but only once down and back each day as our Audi is quite low and it was quite challenging especially after the rain....but good fun! I've already recommended this place to my friends!😁

Had a lovely week here with our dogs, so quiet and peaceful, birds singing. If you like being out in the country away from the noise of traffic and lots of people, this is the place to go 👍we didn’t want to leave. Fantastic place, definitely will be coming back soon .

My Partner and I stayed at The Pump House for the Easter weekend 2024. Just what we were looking for. Quite, peaceful, and secluded. And a Waitrose not too far away. Lots of walks just right outside the front door.
