Lovely stay in a wonderful home high up a mountain - the perfect contrast to the over-popular south coast of Gran Canaria. Everything was just as promised, great instructions, warm and cosy, well equipped, clean and tidy. Highlights - wood fire at night (but plenty of other heating to keep us warm), warm sun all day on the patio, cool fresh air, wonderful views and excellent walking. Tejeda (a 20 min drive up and over the ridge) is a great place to visit and buy almond cakes. Javier was the perfect host - helpful and responsive; we could communicate ok in English (our Spanish is not good unfortunately) but opted to speak Italian as Javier is married to an Italian and speaks it fluently - great fun! Would thoroughly recommend a stay here.

El alojamiento de Javier es muy bonito y completo. Es más, de faltar algo, Javier no tenía inconveniente en traerlo a la casa. Llegamos tarde al alojamiento y Javier nos dejó algo de comida, lo cual fue un detalle. También da recomendaciones muy útiles para visitar la isla. Experiencia recomendable

Fuimos de escapada familiar, la casa está muy bien preparada y equipada. Con todo lo necesario para una estancia cómoda, además todo estaba muy limpio. La ubicación perfecta y las vistas preciosas tanto de día como de noche, que pudimos disfrutar de las estrellas. Muchas gracias a Elia y Javier por estar pendientes de que todo estuviera perfecto, muy amables los dos. ¡Repetiremos seguro!

Un lugar maravilloso, tranquilo, con vistas preciosas. Javier ha sido un gran anfitrión, muy cercano, comunicativo y agradable; nos explicó todo muy bien, y nos resolvió todas las dudas en el momento de la llegada. La casa es una maravilla, enorme, con instalaciones completas, limpia y con todo lo necesario. Lo que más nos ha gustado ha sido el poder disfrutar del calor de la chimenea, ya que nos hemos ido unos días en los que ha hecho mucho frío, pero también hemos podido disfrutar del porche en los pocos momentos de solecito que hemos tenido. Volveremos sin duda.

My family and I spent a long weekend at Francisco Javier's property. The house is cosy and well maintained. We felt at "home" straight away. Despite being in a cold area of Gran Canaria in December, the fireplace and a generous number of space heaters throughout the house meant we never got cold. The house is particularly well located if you want to go hiking in the mountainous centre of the island, which we did. Francisco Javier himself was friendly and thorough, providing clear and complete information regarding our stay. In other words, we had a wonderful time here and can sincerely recommend Villa el Manantial to other guests.
