We had such a lovely weekend at the cottage that we decided to extend our stay for an extra night. The house was super clean, charming, and cozy. Its location was also so convenient to the town of East Hampton and its beaches. Dakota could not have been a more gracious host!

Definitely a solid place to stay in the Hamptons if you have the $. Outstanding location in terms of its proximity to Main Street (by car it's about 2 minutes). It's nestled within a property that seems to be home to multiple landcaping-type business (you have complete privacy from them with a fence surrounding the entire house). I didn't have much of an issue with "deisel trucks" as others have stated, but the nearby train can rattle the home a bit (it seems to be 95% commuter train traffic, so only lasts maybe 15 seconds). There is no king bed as listed, but listing pictures made that fairly clear to me beforehand. Comfortable beds, comfortable couch, nice kitchen, fully stocked grill with charcoal + lighter fluid. Home has a chill backyard with a large picnic table. Home was a little dark and the place could've been swept more thouroughly, but otherwise cleanly and comfortable. Wall unit ACs made the home a little loud and not as cool as we were used to, but it was liveable for sure.

The location is great. Close to all the towns and beaches. I was surprised by the noise- it’s located right next to a train track so when the train passes it literally shakes the house (my kids asked if it was thunder). It also felt ironic that we were asked to sign something that didn’t put the host at fault if we got Covid (fine) but that the host cake to us in person to have us sign and collect it (anything having to do with Covid should be contactless?).
