Modern riverfront cabin situated on two acres by the Skykomish River. Expansive scenic space in nature close to Steven's Pass ski resort, hiking trails, and year-round outdoor adventures. The property features stunning river, forest, and mountain views. Come enjoy patio, BBQ, and firepit time..The cabin has two queen-sized beds in a loft bedroom overlooking the river, and two living room areas. Enjoy river rafting or fishing from the property, and local hiking, skiing, and mountain climbing. The space is a 500 square foot, one loft bedroom cabin in a rustic setting just off of Highway 2 between Goldbar and Index. This small cabin is situated on two private acres with an expansive 150 feet of river frontage. The river can be accessed from the property via a trek down a rocky bank in several areas. The living space can comfortably accommodate 2 people with a maximum of 4 for a cozier experience. This would be ideal for a couple or friend retreat, or for a small family. The bedroom has two queen-sized beds in a half story, loft bedroom area that is accessed by a circular ladder type stairway. The ceiling is a slanted style which is eight feet high on one end, tapering down to four feet on the far end. The bedroom space has a TV and lounging area with an L shaped couch and a closet alcove. Downstairs is a small sitting area with a full size sofa, bathroom with shower and toilet, a kitchen area, and full sized washer/dryer. The kitchen has a medium sized refrigerator, and a toaster oven, small microwave, and hot plate for cooking meals. Outside, there is a deck off the front of the cabin, a firepit area, a small propane Weber grill, and a picnic table plus lots of room to explore small trails and river access and views.

You will not be disappointed if you book this cabin- it exceeded all of our expectations. Kris and Eddie have created a such a beautiful cabin and didn't forget any detail! The beds were super comfortable and the hot tub was so relaxing after spending the day hiking at the falls or ringing horses at nearby Skyland Ranch. We highly suggest checking out both. Kris and Eddie were perfect hosts- they were responsive to our questions and they did not leave out a single detail. We didn't want to leave! ❤️ We will be back for sure!
My friend and I had such a wonderful stay at The Onyx Cabin. The cabin surrounding is scenic and peaceful. There are a few neighbors who live nearby, but they are a good distance away from the cabin so you have lots of privacy. The cabin itself is super cozy and inviting; not to mention well stocked and maintained. There is a river with strong rapids directly behind the cabin and the rapids are pretty loud at first, but it quickly becomes comforting background noise. There is a train track above the river that freight trains pass on pretty frequently, and they are noisy. If you love small town, slow living vibes, and hiking trails with beautiful waterfalls and mountain scenery then you will have lots to do and see here. The hosts are the best! They were very proactive and helpful from the time we reserved the cabin to when we checked out. They responded to our questions almost immediately anytime we reached out to them for help. I highly recommend staying here!
What an amazing gem of a place! So thankful we booked and we both would love to stay here again! If you’re thinking about booking this place don’t hesitate— you couldn’t ask for a better place or hosts!!!
My sisters and I needed to get away from the noise (and our kiddos) to grieve our youngest sister that we lost 3 years ago. This cabin was the perfect spot for us to release our emotions and reconnect with each other while remembering our little sister. It was so cozy, peaceful and relaxing! Just what us 3 moms needed! The hosts are also AMAZING! I messaged them on our second night to apologize for any complains a further neighbor may have due to us singing our hearts out karaoke style by the fire and they were extremely supportive and reassuring to relax and enjoy ourselves. Perfect home away from home!

This cabin is located on private property directly off of Highway 2. The property is located 40 minutes from Steven's Pass ski area, an hour and 15 minutes from Leavenworth, and an hour from Seattle. It feels remote, surrounded by forest and nature but is close to the town of Goldbar and its amenities, with a grocery store and food options within a short five-minute drive. There are neighboring cabins on either side, about 150-200 feet from the cabin. The driveway is partially shared with one other property. It feels very private with ample room to roam. It is within a short drive of many hiking trails, fishing spots, biking trails, and other outdoor adventures, and is situated directly next to a main outlet of the river known to rafters and used by local rafting tours.
Boulder Woods is located just off Highway 2 down a short gravel driveway. There is ample space for parking for several vehicles. Getting off and on the Highway is a bit tricky so we have placed a lighted sign at the top of the driveway to indicate where to pull off.
