Really great, big flat full of period features. Tall ceilings, lots of light, balconies on both sides - it's lovely. Location is great for Lisbon - it's near three Metro lines and loads of buses go down Avenida de Republica. The Gulbekian Museum and Gardens is a really lovely park to hang out in. Very responsive host who has quickly responded to any of our family's requests!

Much more shabby than chic, the apartment is in desperate need of remodeling. Don't stay here if you are looking for something "nice." The bathrooms and kitchen are horrendous and not clearly shown in the pictures of the place. Most anything you find in the apartment is somehow broken or just straight up garbage. We had, I think, 5 visits during our stay from electricians and plumbers. To top it off, the place is not supplied well. We had to buy our own soap, toilet paper, detergent etc. To get to the elevator you have to walk up several flights of steps. Then the elevator takes you up one flight, then you walk up another flight of steps. The place is enormous and presents a classic apartment with beautiful plastered ceilings, good windows and a great location. They provided (purchased) a portable crib for us. They also bought a Chromecast because the TV is not smart. The bedding was also good and clean. The people who met us upon arrival were incredibly friendly and nice.

Miguel's place was beautifully appointed, HUGE, and in the perfect location. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. The space is big enough for two families with children...and will still be comfortable, with lots of different areas to hide with a book or a glass of wine :) We've always stayed in the Avenidas Novas area in Lisbon because we love the Gulbenkian Gardens, the coffee shops around, various supermarkets within five minute walking distance and the fact that we can walk to just about anything. Would definitely recommend! Only heads up is that the apartment is completely bare in terms of food/drinks, so if you're coming with a group and/or kids, make sure to bring everything from coffee and water to snacks. Also, try arriving before 8pm, because the late fee is not so fun (and perhaps something that they would consider not charging). Thank you, Miguel!
