The Santa Maria "gîtes" are two twin guesthouses each accommodating 6 people, fully equipped (see full description), with access to a large pool. They are popular with guests for the peace and relaxation they provide, just 600 meters from the village where all the shops and essential services are available. The Santa Maria guesthouses are an ideal base for exploring the rugged beauty of the Cap Corse and the rich heritage and history of this little known Cap Corse. Rentals are by the week, from Saturday 12h am to the following Saturday 10h am. As a result, the exact dates of the different tariff periods vary depending on the calendar each year. Each of the two "gîtes" is fully equipped, and includes: 1 terrace, 1 large 160cm-width double-bed room, 1 living and dining room with a table a two-place sofa bed, 1 mezzanine with two single beds, 1 kitchen, 1 bathroom and WC. Each of the two gîtes includes also storage spaces, reversible air conditioning, TNT flat screen TV, all small households appliances for cooking and cleaning, fridge freezer, dishwater, washing machine, bed linen and towels being provided, and in addition free-parking and hanging out area just attached to the guesthouse, as well as free access to the swimming pool of the owner and his family.

Michel is a great host, available and very kind! The location is perfect and close to the supermarket and the Macinaggio's arbor! We stayed in 4 people! it is a very peaceful and relaxing place!
Emplacement idéal, calme près de la plage (accessible à pied), idéal pour les enfants avec un accès à la piscine sécurisé. Proximité du sentier des douaniers et des belles plages du cap. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour. Je recommande cet endroit

Nous avons passé un magnifique séjour chez Michel ! L’appartement correspondait parfaitement à la description ! Propre, à 5min du centre à pied, au calme, avec l’ensemble des accessoires nécessaires à la préparation d’un bon repas et une literie confortable ! Qui plus est, Michel et son épouse furent fort sympathiques et arrangeants sur l’heure du check-out ! Nous reviendrons avec plaisir les yeux fermés !
A great place to stay with family or friends, tidy and clean house, perfectly equipped and organized, the well-kept pool in front of the house. Host fluent in English, very friendly, and helpful in organizing trips (he even wrote a hiking guide for hiddden treasures in cap du nord). We travel a lot, but this (and central Corse in general) was one of the nicest places we´ve ever been. Joseph & family (July 2019).

The small village of Macinaggio and its harbor are appreciated by visitors for their relaxing, authentic and quite natural environment, and for possibilities offered in terms of shops and services available: everything can be found. The gîtes are just 5 minutes walking distance from the village and its shops, and our hosts appreciate reaching them slowly by foot. They appreciate above all the quiet, calm environment offered by our gîtes and swimming pool in the middle of the fields surrounding our family house.
The only transport services available to reach us from Bastia are taxi services, or a bus making a daily return trip. For those who do not want to plan all their sojourn by foot it is therefore recommended to come with a car (rental services are available at the airport, and also in the town of Bastia).

Retraité mais toujours actif agricole je m’occupe des gîtes Santa Maria et de notre exploitation d’élevage de vaches allaitantes, dont ils font partie. Aimant voyager, comme ma compagne qui elle s’occupe de ses chambres d’hôtes, nous avons plaisir à accueillir nos hôtes dans le but de rendre leur séjour chez nous le plus agréable et enrichissant possible. Nous nous efforçons de répondre au mieux à leurs attentes, et à leur besoin d’information. Passionnés de nature et de culture locale nous leur donnons volontiers les petits tuyaux pour découvrir les plus beaux lieux, les plus belles plages, les plus belles balades, les endroits peu fréquentés, les beautés souvent méconnues de notre territoire, sa nature, ses paysages, ses villages, son patrimoine.
