This was our 3rd year in a row staying at Louie's place. Its a beautiful place and knowing we had it to come back to at the end of longs days being in the woods, made the trip that much better. Thanks again Louie!

Louie has been extremely nice and supportive during our stay. The place is outstandingly clean and feeling like home, warm and peaceful. Louie also provides almost all the daily essentials you may find at your home. River’s Edge is l a place for getaways and immerse yourself in the extraordinary views of northern Maine. In brief, I would say it is a home away from home and strongly recommended!

The River's Edge is a wonderful place to stay if you're planning a trip to northern Maine. Louie's place is easy to find, easy to access (via car), and exceptionally clean. The view of the river from the back porch makes a stay at Louie's worthwhile in and of itself, but if you're interested in wildlife, birdwatching, or peace and quiet generally, the home doesn't disappoint in those areas either. Naturally, it is remote, and local restaurants and other amenities are a bit of a drive from the house. But the kitchen is very modern, with a great stovetop, oven, and other appliances, as well as all the kitchen implements you need to cook full meals; the cozy living room has plenty of streaming services for movie- and TV-watching; and the bedrooms and bathrooms are clean and well-stocked. Overall, the River's Edge is a unique and affordable find in northern Maine, and a perfect stay for anyone looking to enjoy some peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings with the comforts of home.
