Can highly recommend! we had an amazing stay at Equleni. Free-drift cottage is beautiful with everything you need plus breathtaking views from the deck. the surroundings are very peaceful and you can really relax and unwind in this little gem of a cottage. Diane and James are wonderful hosts, very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. I can highly recommend ordering the breakfast box which was beautifully packed and delicious! Will definately be back!

It’s a lovely place just no one there to meet you when you check in and make sure you have everything you need. Given the remoteness of the location it’s not easy to just pop to the shops. Also be aware that you pay extra for everything outside of what is provided … we ended up with wet wood

Diane and here team where lovely. They made sure we felt welcome and offered a range of extra services. The cottage are easy to reach and the view is amazing. It was super clean and the bedroom was spacious. The kitchen and bathroom are basic but okey.

A great little find nestled in the native bush just off the N2. You’d imagine it would be somewhat noisy being so close to the highway but you can’t hear or see anything other than the birds and the breeze. At the same time, you’re close enough to Wilderness, Sedgefield and even Knysna and George that if you do want to get out and about for some activities or a meal at a restaurant it’s really no issue at all to do so. We had such a lovely relaxing time here, and the kids were very stoked with ‘their’ pets that adopted us during our stay. Can recommend highly for either a couple or family of max 2 young kids (the place is cosy but would become a little too cosy with older kids or more than 2 adults I imagine!).

If you (like us) enjoy peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings in a beautifully appointed and comfortable place, this is by far the best choice you can make! The attention to detail is second to none. And everything is there, up to marshmallows (and skewers!) to roast on the fire pit. For keen ‘birders’, there is a great hide about half an hours walk away. And although we did not use the hot tub this time, we will do so when we return. Because return we will! For us this was the best place we have ever visited (and we are in our 60’s / 70’s)!
