Tanglewood is a spacious, detached beach house with open plan living, comfortable & tasteful furnishings. The unusual garden encourages wildlife, birds, bees & butterflies. It’s a family home and with the beach just around the corner, ideal for water sports including swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, kite & wind surfing. It’s in a superb central location with easy access to the beach and footbridge to the main town with local shops & restaurants a few hundred metres away. The house sleeps 4 adults comfortably and up to 2 children (on air beds) in 2 large double rooms with 2 bathrooms. Bedroom 1 with ensuite shower room, occupies the entire loft area. Access is by a few narrow and steep stairs. Bedroom 2 is on the ground floor with bath and shower room. A well equipped kitchen and dining room/conservatory overlooks a typical beach garden. The large open plan lounge has a baby grand piano, a big comfortable sofa with cosy log burner for extra comfort.

The house and the location was wonderfull. Very cosy neighbourhood with the seafront just around the corner. The host is very pleasant and easy to communicate with. Perfect for our girls’ trip! Recommended!
A lovely house for a seaside holiday stay. Clean and warm and very well equipped feels like a real home and Maggie has furnished very tastefully. Love the tranquil shingle garden, a wonderful sunny spot to have lunch. Mikes of beach walking or hop over the river to the town. Perfect spot for us.
Ideally placed for beach, shops restaurants nearby and easy access to town centre over footbridge. Parking easy and the house was nice and warm. Interesting garden.
First time staying in an Airbnb that someone actually lives in, was a little nervous but Maggie’ place did not disappoint. She was extremely communicative and her place was very clean, tidy and organised. Highly recommended and we hope to stay there again!

We're only two minutes from a lovely, unspoilt and safe beach with easy access for baby buggies and the disabled. If you like the simple things in life, like watching the sunrise over the beach, sea glistening in the early morning, a stroll along the river abundant with birdlife, the draw of a walk on the Downs or you just fancy a flavour of life on the beach come and enjoy our paradise!
The fish restaurant on the corner is very popular but will require a reservation! If you like chewy bread, mouthwatering pastries and delicious coffee, then a short walk over the footbridge to the French Patisserie is a must. There's masses to see and do if you like cafe culture, the arts and good food or the idea of an outdoor life.
Shoreham Airport is the oldest in the UK with an iconic deco building frequently used in film locations. Pilot lessons are available for light aircraft and helicopters.
We're ideally situated with a reliable bus service to Brighton or Littlehampton every 10 minutes. Shoreham railway station provides a fast and regular train service to London, Gatwick & Brighton or west to Worthing, Portsmouth, Southampton and beyond. The A27 flyover leading to the M27 and M23 is within a mile of the beach. There are endless walking and cycling opportunities along the beach, the river Adur, the inland lake at Widewater Lagoon and Brooklands Park or the South Downs national park.
