I absolutely loved staying at Monica’s villa. It’s as beautiful in real life as it looks on the listing. I needed some time to decompress comfortably for a while and this villa was perfect. I was able to have privacy and sit by the lake in the sun with the luxury of cooling off in Lake Como via my own private entry to the lake! Alternatively, if I felt like having dinner in town, Como was only a 20min drive or so away. The villa itself is stunning. As my stay unfolded, I found some new feature of the villa that would catch my eye that I hadn’t noticed before… the villa reveals more of itself to you as you relax into this space. I really loved that. I highly recommend a stay here.

Monica’s villa is stunning— a perfect respite on the lake, ideal for relaxing and enjoying the amazing view. Her daughters were so helpful during our stay, ensuring that we had everything we needed. This is a unique, gorgeous and special home.

Location is unbelievable! Incredible views and surroundings. But considering cost, far from a good value, at least for us. 1. Bedroom is outside the house. That’s a deal breaker for us. To reach bath you need to get outdoor and access main house. Not convenient, and if I knew that before booking, I wouldn’t book it. 2. Host seem like a good hard working person, but I felt this was a side business and didn’t feel she was able to help like other past experiences. 3. There is NOTHING is the kitchen, no water, no coffee capsules (even though the machine is there). Zero effort from host on this aspect. Did text host asking about capsules but without a response) 4. Bed is in poor condition and make noise. Not on par with $850 a night expectation. 5. Gate access was problematic. There are two gates, and had to have issues accessing with the app needed until host gave us a remote. I love giving great reviews. But in this occasion, the 4 nights spent here were the worst part of our trip.

Beautiful and unique with a very cool story— the villa belonged to an opera singer, Giuditta pasta, who’s lover Bellini lived in a villa across the lake according to a tour guide who was stunned that this historical villa was available to rent. This was the perfect place to stay and the views were stunning. Monica was a great host and helped us find a private chef, Zeno— dining Al fresco in the amazing outdoor space was a highlight of our trip and we would highly recommend booking him. Wifi worked well and the space is well maintained. The location in Blevio is perfect to visit key places like como, Cernobbio and Bellagio, and Blevio itself is a very cute town with a nice swimming area. Being right on the lake was amazing though they were doing maintenance on the community water pipes (which is out of anyone’s control) so we unfortunately couldn’t really swim due to debris. There is a portable air conditioner which we ended up not needing. We would definitely stay here again!!
