Gavin and Kimberly’s lovely home was exactly the place I was looking for as a solo traveler. The Cassatt room is very comfy and cozy. Kimberly was very responsive and kind. The shared space was very clean and maintained and the location made it easy to get around.

If I could give more stars I would! What a wonderful place I felt completely at home in this historic house with adorable decor. The hosts were communicative and the location is perfect for anyone visiting Portland (just an $8-11 Uber to most major sights). Things to note: The house creaks a lot, if you’re a light sleeper like me. The bed was COMFY it was like sleeping on a cloud I never wanted to get up! The shared bathroom is downstairs, so CLEAN and well stocked! Although there were other guests I never once had an issue with bathroom access! As a female solo traveler: There is a camera facing the front door. I initially felt reassured by it but I realized that going from my room to the shared bathroom meant passing in front of that camera. Perhaps moving it so it only faces the front door? Otherwise I always felt completely safe in this home and in the neighborhood overall, it’s quiet and residential. For future trips to Maine I would LOVE to stay here again and again!!

Just stayed for a night, cute home, felt a bit like a hostel since there was only one bathroom for all the rooms so there was a queue sometimes. Basic amenities provided, hosts were responsive to messaging when supplies were running low and check in/out was no problem.

I corresponded with Kimberly, and although we never met in person since I was on a whirlwind of doing activities and visiting people in Portland, she was so friendly via message and responsive to any questions. The room was absolutely lovely, and the fact that they kept a whole array of bath products for guest use was much appreciated. It was abnormally hot in the city when I visited, so the lack of air conditioning was felt, but they provided a large fan that I placed to send a breeze over the very comfy bed. Little things like the Keurig machine and complimentary coffee pods were so appreciated. Great hosts, great location, and I would definitely stay there again.
