Flexible checkin, quiet and scenic location with pleasant neighbors. Other than some hiccups with some non working amenities which the host ultimately offered to compensate for, we had a good stay. There’s the property caretaker who you may/may not share the home with depending on the arrangements you make. I think this should be made more clear in the listing though. Ironically, the caretaker was the best part of the property. Very kind and always willing to help, be it information or a service.

The space was nice and the area is quiet but there is some information that should have included regarding the actual living arrangements. While it was disclosed that the caretaker lived on the premises in the back of the house it was not mentioned that the two house entrances and the kitchen were shared or that one of bedrooms is in the back of house close to the caretaker. A key was provided to divide this space but our party was asked to leave this door open so the caretaker could access the kitchen in the morning. No one in my all female party felt comfortable using this bedroom during our stay. The shared entrances to the house also became a problem as the caretaker indicated to us that the locks to the outside doors can be finicky (the keys have to be left perfectly vertical or the locks cannot be unlocked from the outside). There is a third exterior door that appears to lead to the caretakers space but it was boarded up (we were told they were waiting for insurance to repair the door after a fire). When the caretaker was going to be out late one night he requested that we leave the doors unlocked in order for him to get back in the house. We told him that we would not leave the house unsecured when we were going to sleep but we would leave the keys locked in the proper position to ensure he could get back in. While the caretaker was very kind and often was not home during our stay there is a difference between renting an entire home and renting rooms in a shared space. I would not have selected this place if it had been accurately portrayed nor do I anticipate choosing to stay here again.

I highly recommend staying at Ms. Mac's Place! *The welcome is warm, friendly, & flexible. *Excellent communication! *Great location for complete island exploration & activities. Can reach any part of the island easily. *Not in tourist area! :) *Will be living like a local, amongst locals. *Clean, spacious, & well equipped. *If you are lucky & in town when Ingrid is there, be prepared to get a taste of a home cooked meal! *Great value in terms of price & location! We truly enjoyed our stay here & will be back again. I can't thank Ms. Mac for such a hospitable stay. Thank you so much! :)
