This Little Cozy Cottage is such a lovely hideaway from the hustle and bustle of the City, Robyn is an incredible host, and the whole property has a peaceful atmosphere. Robyn takes extra care to make sure all her renters are happy and comfortable. My doggie and I absolutely loved our stay here and will return whenever we need to stay in Joburg again.

This is the second time I went to Robyn's place and surely not the last time. Clean, quit, well equipped studio. Walking distance from a mall and closed to the Delta Park for good walks. And one cute dog if you feel alone.

I had a really great stay at Robyn's place. There is something very special about the garden space - being able to help myself to herbs and greens was wonderful, and the outdoor fireplace is amazing. General feel of the place is relaxed and welcoming - Robyn and Jen, and other guests who passed through, plus Isaiah's quiet presence working on the property. The space is small (but maybe bigger than you'd think from the pictures - I couldn't tell, but the bed is a double bed) yet incredibly functional. Enough cookware etc to make meals, kettle and coffee plunger. Microwave and dry fryer if you want too! Having a gas stove is a huge bonus during power cuts. Location is great - I chose to stay here at least partly due to the proximity to Delta Park which gives you a huge green open space in the middle of Johannesburg (plus amazing views as you walk down the road and pass the tennis courts on your way). Walkable access to a Spar, Woolworths, pharmacy, a little further to a fantastic fruit and veg place and then a little further still to Fresh Earth (easy with Uber). The one thing that I found difficult here was the internet because I need to have multiple video meetings per day. The room itself doesn't get the best of the wifi on the property so the connection was variable and pretty stressful at times (note that internet quality in general gets worse when Johannesburg is experiencing load shedding, even if you have power and wifi). I tried to create a hotspot from my phone with cell c which was a total fail, better luck with mtn but not good enough for video calls. Ultimately got a mifi modem which was much better. Robyn was really amazing and let me sit at her dining table right next to the router so I could connect to the 5G network. If you are highly dependant on a good internet connection, I would have a conversation with Robyn first to see what the current situation is. Would have been fine for email, browsing, etc and was sometimes fine for video calls, but not consistently.

Perfect spot with the animals, the humans, the nature and sustainable living. It's super close to the park for walks. Very convenient for stores and restaurants. The kahuna massage is highly recommended during your stay. Robyn is a fantastic host and the property has extra security. I felt safe and cared for throughout my stay.
