Chateau Frolic was absolutely magical for our girls’ trip birthday celebration. The views took our breath away and the well-appointed art-infused home made us feel like royalty! The waves lulled us to sleep each night and the high-end bedding contributed to the sweetest dreams! We loved cooking in the chef’s kitchen as well as dining out at the great local restaurants. The house was even more beautiful than the photos portrayed and Elizabeth’s hospitality elevated the entire experience. If you’re looking for a very special getaway, this is the home for you!

We had a wonderful time here. Very well-maintained property with gorgeous views. Elizabeth was extremely communicative and very friendly. She welcomed us with wine and cheese platter which was a lovely touch. She even brought us delicious pastries one morning! Wonderful host and beautiful home, we hope to come visit again.

Unbelievable location. Beautiful view and perfect sunsets. Uniquely decorated property is in perfect shape and setting on the cliff over the Pacific is spectacular. Big with a lot of places to gather or have some privacy.

10 star stay! From start to finish, our experience was fantastic. The pictures do not do this house justice. So private and a true luxury experience. It is impeccably designed, with the highest quality furnishings/details, an entire curated art gallery, and so many beautiful rooms that you get lost the first couple of days. The ocean views are remarkable and the large windows allow for a visual treat at all times. Can't forget the gorgeous garden and landscaping. Downtown Mendocino is a quick drive. Make sure you walk down to frolic cove, a beautiful rugged beach up the road. The house manager, Elizabeth, is friendly and accessible without ever being invasive. We were welcomed with a delicious bottle of wine, and snacks and sent off with an amazing basket of local pastries. One night we had a local private chef, Shannon, come and cook dinner via Elizabeth's recommendation. Dinner was fantastic. After staying here I may be ruined for future airbnbs. Do not hesitate to book!

Nothing can prepare you for the incredible adventure this home offers. It’s a design and architectural wonder filled with amazing art. Great views. Great house manager who brought us baked goodies to welcome us and was available for whatever we needed without in any way being intrusive. An unforgettable experience.
