Everything in the house smelled so beautifully (towels, blankets, bed sheets...) and the house was so clean, we felt very comfortable. It is also very convenient for kids. We have a 3 year-old toddler and we walked every day to the playground and nearby restaurants. The check-in was very easy. The cottage is in the back of the house and they don't share any walls. The location is peaceful and safe.
This little cottage was amazing! The location behind the main home allows privacy and peacefulness. The home was very clean and the layout is perfect allowing it to feel very comfortable. Each room has its own mini split which made it extremely nice! I wasn't wasting electricity by cooling a whole house! The bed is super comfortable and the home is cluttered with decor. The host is amazing! She was very courteous and was very responsive! I also loved the fact that there was a washer and dryer available to use! The directions and instructions are very thorough! I have never seen instructions for an airbnb that gives instructions on location of breaker boxes, covers gas leak scenarios and fire alarms! 🔥 I even utilized Ubereats to order groceries and they had no issues with delivery! I highly recommend this place! It was absolutely an excellent price and was so clean, convenient and in a nice neighborhood compared to some of the other homes listed.
Nice place and area
We have stayed at Joy's Cozy Cottage a few times now, and we love the location, walking distance from downtown Kensington and our family. The cottage is comfortable, well appointed, and while it has the 50's charm, you also get heating, air-conditioning, and great hot water pressure, in a quaint, quiet neighborhood setting. Finally, Joy is very responsive to any questions you may have about the unit. Joy is our favorite ABB host.
Joy is a real Joy to work with , She was always approachable and very patient to answer all of our silly questions and she made sure we are comfortable with our stay at the cottage . This is a great location , very peaceful and great amenities , we look forward to stay at her place again for our future vacations .

My world is that of a business owner and entrepreneur who is semi-retired and loving my chance to give back, mentor and continue to grow and learn. I love art, museums, great food, and local events. I am a planner, a marketer, and a volunteer for several charities. I believe in leaving things better than I found them, if possible. On the clean and orderly side of traveling, I like to have a little dedicated space to hang my clothes up and unpack. I also like clean linens, fresh bath towels and wash cloths, as well as a clean place to stay. That is why I love sharing my own San Diego Vacation rental, Cozy Kensington Cottage with visitors, and ensuring they have all the things they need at their fingertips. I also have great respect for the belongings of others and will take care of your home as if it were mine. I love good wine, good mattresses, good books and great movies. I love to walk, stroll neighborhoods, people watch, and drink tea. I am still active in our business, Total Gym, on the strategic, legal and risk management side of things, and my career has been focused as Creative Director and VP of Marketing.
