GREAT HOSTS, the place was good, basically what you see on the listing is what we get. The host gave us so many (good) recommendations. Our only issue has been a HUGE struggle with internet all week, when it was supposed to be fine. We are remote workers so it was an issue. The hosts dis their best to help, but maybe Minca isn’t the place for digital nomads to work. On another note, the location could hardly be any better as it is right by the town (less than 5min walk), but on the other side of the river (just by the bridge) so it’s very calm. The kitchen is also great and very convenient to cook! Lots of great outdoor space to hang out like the hammocks & more. If you aren’t going to work from there, I HIGHLY recommend.

This place is awesome. The river is right there and we had about 10 swims a day. We loved how close it is to town and we had lots of fun in Minca. This has been my favorite stay on our trip so far. The house has everything we needed without the pretentious hipster decor. It is a nice family home with great outdoor space. Danny had amazing communication and great recommendations for us. I wish I could go back there for a river swim now.

This is a cool spot, but unfortunately uncomfortable for sleeping: the mattresses are sunken, the pillows are thin and lumpy, and the "fitted" sheets detach under the slightest movement. Mosquitos also kept showing up in the rooms and plaguing us at night although we were militant about keeping the doors closed at all times. You should also be aware that there can be significant noise in the mornings, since the river is a popular spot, and people arrive and start whooping it up as early as 6 a.m. (!) The rooms also suffer from pervasive dankness and what I suspect is a mold problem: I was generally congested throughout our stay, and my girlfriend, who is specifically allergic to mold, had her eyes swell up shortly after we arrived, requiring eyedrops and Benadryl -- the swelling resolved within a day after we left, so I strongly suspect the presence of significant mold in the rooms. A shelf also happened to fall off in the shower and reveal a disgusting coating of thick black mold, so it's clearly an issue in this place that's not being dealt with. The river location is cool, the hosts were nice and accomodating, and the kitchen/bathroom etc. were fine, but due to the mold, lousy bedding, and mosquitos, I do not recommend it.

Beautiful location, great hospitality. Close to the city of Minca. We were there in a rainy weekend, with the house near the river, it can get a bit humid, but we still enjoyed the experience.
