Dennis was a great host - clear and responsive in communications. Our group of 14 really enjoyed our stay ringing in the New Year at the Buckland Retreat House. The accommodations were cozy and comfortable, and we especially liked the game room and exploring Shelbourne Falls. We will definitely consider staying here again!

Our family - ages 6 to 88 - came to Buckland House to celebrate Thanksgiving; it was our first time all together since before the pandemic. Here are some comments from various family members: “A very comfortable, warm gathering place for our family, excellent kitchen and dining area, lots of fridge/freezer room, and enough space to gather but also have some privacy when needed”; “our two kids loved spending time at the piano doing some serious composing”; “the grounds are wonderful, pictures don’t do the house justice.” Even our 9-year-old grandson weighed in: "I loved how spacious it was, and the piano was awesome!”

Great gathering spot for a multi-family gathering. Lots of room and lots of rooms! Be nice to come back in warmer weather to enjoy the outdoor spaces.

We booked this place as a home base for our bridal party for our wedding weekend, and we could not have had a better experience. Dennis and Cara are extremely helpful, communicative, and friendly, and they helped us not only give our wedding party an easy place to stay, but also allowed us to hold a family gathering the night before the wedding. The property is stunning, and the garden is downright magical. We are so grateful for all of their help to make our weekend perfect!
