The best part of this location is that it is so convenient to get to. Right above Gongguan MRT station, you do not need to walk far to get home. The second positive is that for an entire studio, with a washer and airconditioning, the price and value was extremely worth it! However, during my stay a few things happened. First the keys had to be picked up between 12-7:00PM, but my flight did not arrive until after that window. Even having had paid for the entirety of the stay, the hosts said after 7 they would charge for me to pick up the keys. So they asked, do I have friends or family in Taipei that can pick up the keys beforehand? Luckily I did, and my cousin had to go and pick up the keys for me. But if I had been a single traveler with no familial connections, I would have been out of luck and fined. No bueno! Next, the door knob broke. It just fell off, so they told my cousin they would send someone to fix it. After that moment, they called my cousin several times to try to organize a time when I would also be at the apartment. In the end, because I was busy, they just went into my apartment when I wasn’t there to fix the front door. Nothing was missing or taken, but as a Airbnb Guest, I feel that they could have A.) done regular upkeep so that their door knob doesnt fall off and B.) worked with me to find a time when I’d be home. Lastly, when I was about to check out I needed to stay one more night. So I asked if i could extend my stay. They said yes but, called my cousin, and insisted on me paying immediately. I felt they rushed me, and even though I hadn’t checked out yet, they treated me as I had. Soooooo long story short, the hosts could improve on guest relations. But value and location is great!

A great place to stay! My girlfriend and I rented this apartment for two weeks, and it was an ideal spot. The area surrounding the building is alive, with lots of shops, food, and a nightmarket right around the corner. Even better is that the apartment is high enough that no noise is bothersome, and the outlook is a beautiful Taipei skyline. The building is also right over the Gongguan metro station, so getting around the city is a breeze.
