Lodge 8 - Mangwa (means Zebra) Lodge is situated in the exclusive Elephant Point Estate, bordering the Kruger National Park, Elephant Point offers villa accommodation within 26 km of Skukuza Airport. The luxurious villa boasts uninterrupted views over the Sabie River and into Kruger National Park The luxurious villa is air-conditioned throughout and features a fully-equipped kitchen with a separate scullery and laundry area. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, patio and HD TV. The open-plan dining and living area is equipped with a fireplace and opens out onto a spacious patio with barbecue facilities. Guests at Elephant Point can relax beside the private pool or at the built-in table and chairs. End off the day in the private boma area, with an open-air campfire and the sounds of nature.

The place is modern, comfortable and super-clean. It’s located just off the Kruger National Park and the outdoor area is amazing for sightseeing as you can see some animals from a distance giving you that brush like modern retreat. Five-star host! Johann gave us much very useful information before we checked in and maintained good communication with us. The instruction covers every single detail. Our overall experience was amazing!

The property was fine, and in a good location. Well kept and very clean. Our only issue was the construction that was going on both sides of the property that started every day at 7am. We were unaware of the construction when we booked and it kind of spoiled the quite bush break we were hoping for. We stayed at the property in for 9 days from the 1st of august 2019, and I believe the building works will be at least another 6-7 months on one side and maybe another 4-5 on the other side. So if you want a quite break, leave it until after the end of the year.

Elephant Point is situated in a region renowned for its natural diversity and concentration of big game and is undoubtedly one of the best game viewing areas in the Kruger National Park. The estate takes its name from the elephants that can frequently be seen drinking and grazing on the banks of the mighty Sabie River.
However, elephant is not the only magnificent creature you will encounter. Herds of buffalo, prides of lion, leopards and numerous antelope species make their home in the surrounding area. Elephant Point borders the Kruger National Park and is also neighbour to the world famous and exclusive Sabi Sand Game Reserve, home of Mala Mala, Sabi Sabi, Londolozi, Singita, Ulusaba and others.
