Just returned from a fantastic stay! Like what others have said, the pictures really don’t do the place justice. Really spacious for our group of 8, the pool was a massive hit and lovely and warm. Couldn’t fault anything. A great base for exploring York, just a 10 min taxi drive away (maybe just use the neighbouring garden centre for the pick-up point as taxis struggled to find the right turning) - highly recommend! Thanks again for a great weekend :)

The property was perfect for the weekend away we had planned. Everyone felt at home and we were able to socialise in the large kitchen, lounge, diner. The use of the warm pool made the breakaway even more enjoyable. Would highly recommend for froups or damily holidays. Just a short taxi ride from York and got great recommendations for places to eat in the surrounding area.

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at Ellerburn lodge. We were in York for a family wedding and stayed a couple of extra days. The swimming pool and garden were a huge hit with our children (5 and 7) and us! The property is all on one level which made it perfect for our elderly relatives who also stayed. It is a really relaxing place to stay and the scones on arrival were a lovely surprise! Michael is a very responsive host and his directions to find the place were spot on.
