Very cute and cozy. Private enough for music writing, which is what I was doing. The only thing I'd suggest that isn't mentioned is bring your own water. When I arrived it had been raining quite a lot and it's well water. The water was quite cloudy and murky coming out of the tap. There's a Brita in the fridge and I filtered it but it was murky even after filtering. I'm a hearty sort and drank it anyway and regretted it as my belly was not happy for most of the day afterward. Nothing too dramatic just not used to the local brew. I went out and got water the next day and all was ok pretty shortly after. The compost toilet is a bit daunting at first (especially if you're a typical man like me who's used to standing when you pee) but I got used to it pretty quick. The whole bag disposal issue is not nothing but it's not really a big deal. The whole process of getting the bag out and into the "tumbler" outside was maybe 2-3 minutes. But there is zero chance my wife would have done it, lol

Perfect spot for a retreat and relaxation! Felise is so kind and thoughtful and the space is beautiful. The tub was great and the bed was super comfy. Beautiful area and just remote enough to feel “away.” Can’t wait to stay again!

Well curated space, from the stunning floor mirror in the bathroom to eclectic art on bookshelves. The wide picture window overlooking the veranda has a view toward the garden graced with a parade of birds - black capped chickadees, scarlet cardinals and raucous bluejays made an appearance during my stay. I would have liked to have been able to open the window as french doors, however the chill in the air prompted me to take advantage of the wood burning stove and brew some hot tea with the electric kettle. I heard an owl hooting at night, and even some coyotes celebrating a kill in haunting yelps and howls. If you agree that these sounds create a sense of wonder or evoke a magical lullaby, this is the place for you!

My experience at Felise's beautiful cottage was restorative, romantic, and utterly peaceful. The cottage is nestled among forests and hills, a close drive to the mountains, charming restaurants, and stunning waterfalls. The bathtub is the essence of tranquility, made even better with the window right next to it to admire the beauty of the trees, wildlife and flowers while bathing. I thought the bed was soo cozy and the wood stove a perfect addition to complete the cabin energy. I appreciated the thought that went into the ecological sustainability of the space as well. Felise was very responsive, communicative and supportive throughout the entire experience. If you are seeking a restorative venture, a romantic trip, or any kind of peaceful getaway, I cannot recommend Felise's cottage enough!
