We loved our stay at Sverre & Kristin's place. The house is charming, comfortable and full of character. We cooked several meals both in the kitchen and on the barbecue, and appreciated the stock of spices, utensils, equipment and basic supplies available. We drove to the supermarkets in Dale, and visited the farm shop in Evanger. Took the train to visit Bergen for the day, and also drove to Voss a couple of times - once to go on the Gondol for great mountain views, as well as to go on the Norway in a Nutshell tour. At the house, we enjoyed reading in the hammock in the orangery, eating out in the garden when it was sunny, including the homegrown apples and plums, exploring the fjord by the 2-person kayak supplied and a couple of cold swims too! If the weather had been colder we would have made use of the sauna and fire too. The house really lights up beautifully in the sun. And when it rains, look out for the bonus extra waterfalls that appear afterwards!

Vi var en storfamilie på 5 stk . Kost oss skikkelig. Mye sjarm og hygge både inne og ute. Var heldig med været så vi benyttet hagen hver kveld . Håper Sverre var like fornøyd med oss Anita

Great home with plenty of space and character. Beautiful garden with view of the fjord and river. Quiet community with lots of nice hiking opportunities, also for childeren. Quick and thoughtfull communication. We recommend staying here!

Ein sehr schönes Haus, das alle Annehmlichkeiten bietet und dem trotzdem Geschichte abzuspüren ist. Toller Blick aus dem Wintergarten. Wir haben als fünfköpfige Familie unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Selbst die Regentage haben sich in dem Haus nach Urlaub angefühlt. In jedem Zimmer war als netter Willkommensgruß ein frischer Blumenstrauß - diese haben uns über die Woche begleitet.

Sverre and Kristin are very nice and welcoming people, they were so welcoming and helpful to know some nice spots around. Communication was fast and easy during the stay. The place is really amazing in terms of the view( so many views) and very close to a lot important places like Voss city, the waterfalls, and train station is just 5 minutes walk and you can even park tour car there... Bergen is 50 minutes away by that train nearby. The perfect location makes you keep taking photos wherever you drive onE16 which the main road 2 minute from tje house by car. Very good fishing spots in the river but I recommend you buy your fishing tickets a couple of months or as early you can because they are usually sold out... The house garden is fantastic and has planted herbs where you can pick and try on your food or tea.... The house from inside is really classic and matches the style of the area, you will find nice cultural books, paints, and posters all around the walls... the only thing I did not like that much is the bathroom as it is not 100% comfort but given the very old house and the fantastic surroundings by the house I definitely would come again and book it!
