There are plenty of great places to eat and drink in the area if you don't fancy cooking yourself. All the main supermarkets are available in Cheltenham / Cirencester, about 15 minutes drive away. All supermarkets deliver out to us. This is a fantastic area for things to do: all manner of water sports at the lakes near South Cerney, cycle paths in the Forest of Dean, history/archaeology at Chedworth Roman Villa, Sherborne Lodge and Sudeley Castle, also Warwick and Oxford and Bath are not far away. Equestrian events are very popular here too. There are plenty of fantastic walking/hiking routes to follow and this is a particularly popular part of the country for challenging, hilly bike rides.
Emma was there to greet us and couldn't have been more welcoming. One of our group had an issue which we shared with Emma's partner and he couldn't have been more helpful and understanding
Nice place would stay again with friends. With the 8 person limit it only allows for adults with infants, so this will limit us staying again in the future with children.
We are at the edge of of a beautiful and typical Cotswold village in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Behind a high hedge, tucked away from the main house, is our barn. If you are looking for a traditional Cotswold Cart Barn but with a modern feel, the gorgeous views of the surrounding countryside and privacy then this will be for you.
The main view from Southwold Barn is of uninterrupted views of magnificent rolling hills, complete with sheep, pheasants and birds of prey, our free range chickens peck around and visiting ducks come the say hello. The garden has a stream running down through it with ponds top and bottom (toddlers should be supervised), there is a gravelled eating area with furniture and gas BBQ for those balmy summer evenings.

There are plenty of great places to eat and drink in the area if you don't fancy cooking yourself, or we can arrange for a local chef to come in and cook for you, or to prepare a meal for you to just heat up in the oven.
