Our cabin is located at big island called Ljusterö, about 60km from Stockholm center. You cross the sea with car ferry (free of charge). There is a food store, restaurants, golf, museums at the island. A short walk away from the cottage (maybe 400 meters) there is a small common beach. Private sauna at the property. No running water, all water must be fetched from a public well located approximately 200 meters from the house. Eco toilet in garden house. Price of the cottage is for 2 person. Maximum 11 people allowed in the cottage children included. Extra price for guests after 2 person is + 15€/night/person. In the master bedroom there is 180 cm wide king size bed that sleeps 2 adults. Under the bed is 2 mattresses. You will also have 1 pillow and one cover for each sleeping place, notice that sheets and other bed linen you must bring with you (also all towels you might need you must bring). During summer 2021 we are not able to rent bed sheets because of corona. There is an open fireplace in master bedroom. You can heat this fireplace if it would be cool weather but you must be careful and watch the fire all the time. Normally we have not needed to use this fireplace in the summer time, only if we have visited the cabin during early spring. The master bedroom has also electric radiator that you can use if it would be cold, electricity used will be charged afterwards. Second bedroom is very small, not much fits in besides the bunk bed. So in the second bedroom is a bunk bed for 2 people. There is also electric radiator in this room if needed. In the living room there is a sofa bed sleeps 1-2 person (160 cm wide when open). You can also put the floor mattresses from the master bedroom to the living room floor if you want. In the yellow room there is another sofa bed for 1-2 person (140 cm wide when opened). There is another open fireplace in the living room, but that is too big and open and is not allowed to be used under any circumstances or it might be dangerous. It is purely decorative item. Kitchen includes sink but you must get the water from water point with canisters. There is a water pipe taking the water outside from the sink. There are dishes, bowls, pots and pans etc in the kitchen cabins. They can be used but must be cleaned well after use. There is another wood burning stove in the kitchen that can be lit if there is cold weather. There is a small oven with 2 cooking plates in the kitchen. There is a separate freezer and a big refrigerator, coffee machine, electric kettle and a microwave oven and a toaster. Large terrace in front of the house where is enough space for big table and couple of sun chairs and still plenty of space to play and barbecue with a small charcoal grill. The cabin is built to the hillside and behind the house you can find swings, old small playhouse and a nice sauna. The sauna heats up very quickly with burning wood and you can see glimpse of the sea between the trees from the sauna window as the sauna is located on a hill top. The heater is lighted up with wood and there is plenty of wood to use at the cottage. Wood for sauna is included to the rent. There is a water container that heats up when the heater is hot and you can run hot water from the tap to use for washing up (mix it with cooler water for good temperature of course, the water straight from the boiler is very very hot!). You must fill back cold water to the water tank as you run out the hot one so it does not over heat and more water will be heated to replace to used water. Beautiful small public sand beach is about 500 meters walk from the house. There is also Golf course at the island (Ljusterö Golf), boat harbor with restaurant, couple of kiosk around the island, couple of food stores and from Ljusterö square you can find even Thai food and couple of small stores where you could by souvenirs. By the car ferry there is also gas station. You can find flee markets and even couple of small museums from the island so there is plenty to do even if the weather would not be so sunny. About one kilometer away there is a big field where you can go and play football if you feel like it. That is the place for gathering for the midsummer party and crab feast held together with the community. You can even get to the island from Stockholm city by bus. The buses do not drive to the small roads, only asphalt roads so there would be some kilometers left to walk to get to the cottage. Equipment: Sleeping: -180 cm wide bed (sleeps 2) -2 normal floor mattresses (speeps 2) -one 120 cm wide mattress (sleeps 1) -bunk bed (sleeps 2) -living room sofa bed (160 cm wide, sleeps 2) -yellow room sofa bed (140cm wide, sleeps 1-2) So sleeps max 11 people -at least one cover and at least pillow for every sleeping place You must bring your own sheets, bed linen, towels, kitchen towels etc. washable items. There is sleeping space for up to 11 people. Note that there are only 2 bedrooms, so all other sleeping places are on common area (living room, yellow room) Cooking -dishes, pots and pans etc -small over + 2 cooking plates -big refrigeration, smaller freezer -coffee machine, electric kettle and a microwave oven and a toaster. -small coal barbecue outside (you must bring your own cole and lighting fluid for it) Note that the dining table is big enough for 6 only people, in addition to that there are bar chairs in the kitchen and another table in the yellow room + outdoor table (see the photos). Toys are allowed to be played with. Fire wood for sauna, kitchen wood stove and fireplace in the bigger bedroom is is included and you can find plenty of it to use from the property. Cole and lighting fluid for the cole grill not included, you must bring your own if you wish to barbaque. Electricity is not included to the rent and will be charged according to usage. The cottage must be cleaned well after use. There is vacuum cleaner that can be used. If you would wish not to clean, check in advance if it would be possible to arrange for checkout cleaning for extra cost. All water must be carried in from water point by the road. That water is drinkable and good for cooking. If you would need bedclothes (sheets etc.) extra covers, pillows, cleaning etc, ask i advance, might be able to arrange for additional price.
