If you are interested in staying in rather rustic surroundings and don’t mind a few inconveniences that go with it, then this is a good place. This place is an annexe to a small mansion which must be very old, hence you have high ceilings and very old large windows. One night it rained heavily and there was some leakage in the sitting room. It is conveniently located supermarket is just 5 minutes drive. As you step out of the house/apartment (inside the property), you get to see the ocean. You can also get a partial view of the ocean from the bedroom. Fernando has a banana plantation on his property, and he was kind enough to give us plenty of bananas which lasted us throughout our trip of 8 days in Sao Miguel. Fernando was very helpful in guiding us on where to go and giving us useful trips. He was kind enough to patiently review the research I had done (on places to visit) and gave us useful tips.

Very attentive and helpful host. Interesting location with a huge estate. The apartment is very spacious. A couple of remarks - Shower is either cold or too hot - Many ants! - We were unlucky as they were working on the roof and at night there was a heavy downpour, resulting in various leakages. However, the owner was willing to refund the last night when I booked another place to stay. So to conclude, the place is not perfect. But the price is also really good. So if you're fine with some imperfections, then this place is a great catch.

Nous avons passé 8 nuits dans l'appartement de Fernando et Catarina, situé derrière leur maison. Il est agréable avec une belle vue mer du jardin et il est surtout très bien situé pour visiter Vila Franca et le reste de l'île. Les petits bémols : des ustensiles succincts pour la cuisine et un espace barbecue sympa mais très "roots" pour ceux qui craignent ! Le principal souci pour nous, qui n'est pas imputable à Fernando, ce sont plusieurs nuits très bruyantes à cause des chiens du voisin qui ne hurlaient que la nuit... ce qui est dommage quand on vient justement pour le calme...

Nous avons apprécié la communication avec l'hôte. Il a été facile pour nous de trouver l'endroit et nous avons été bien accueilli dès notre arrivée. Il a été agréable pour nous de jouer dans l'herbe avec notre bébé, à l'ombre sous les beaux grands arbes. Bel emplacement, près de l'épicerie et de points d'intérêt.

El apartamento está muy bien situado, es muy completo y está perfectamente equipado. Fernando estuvo en todo momento pendiente de nuestra llegada, ya que tuvimos que retrasarla 1 día a causa de la cancelación de un vuelo. También tuvieron el detalle de devolvernos parte del importe de la primera noche. Lo recomiendo, os sentiréis muy cómodos!
