Steve and Jill's place is an absolute gem. What they offer is an authentic Northwoods experience. The lodge is a perfectly restored 1900s-era building with a magnificent bar overlooking Moccasin Lake. We stayed in the cabin, which was very private, comfy, and a perfect extension of the lodge. As for the lake, Moccasin Lake checks all the boxes. It is completely private, offers outstanding fishing, and, most importantly, provides complete serenity. Whether you are fishing, kayaking, or just sitting on the pier, the soundtrack will be provided by the call of the loons. On our final evening, while enjoying a campfire, the loons were joined by a fox calling for her kits, with great horned owls adding to the chorus. As hosts, Steve and Jill are among the best I've encountered at any Airbnb or VRBO. In a very short time, they will make you forget that you are guests and give you the sensation that you have been morphed into close friends or family who have been coming to the lake for years.

We stayed at one of the cabins. It was very clean, cute and located by several bars/restaurants. Jill and Steve were very friendly. We would stay again!

Our family of 5 enjoyed the cabin, it had everything we needed inside. The lake was beautiful and refreshing to swim in. The fishing was enjoyable and we had a fish fry for dinner. I would plan on renting the boat most days to fish, it was worth the small fee. The hosts are exceptionally kind and very helpful. The views were gorgeous.
