Route 66 Cottage is a 2 bedroom/1 bath freestanding suite on a beautiful, secure, gated historic 19th century farm, adjacent to 20 acres of open parkland. The property, close by the Rio Grande River and original Route 66, is part of the family-owned Guadalupe Compound. The cottage, which features eclectic style with high-tech amenities, shares a hot tub, fire pit, and mini-basketball court with the Compound, and also includes a kitchenette, laundry room and patio. The spacious Guadalupe Compound is in the green Albuquerque valley near the Rio Grande. You will stay in a charming, safe, gated historic multi acre family compound with traditional NM pueblo style. Route 66 Cottage is one of the smaller guest houses in this tranquil oasis with the easiest of access to Albuquerque’s many special sights and charms. The house features ready access to outdoor spaces, surrounded by 2 colorful and comfortable bedrooms and 1 bath. There are NO bunk beds and only one step to enter each room from the interior hallway. The house is fully stocked with 100% cotton bed linens and towels, complete sets of dishes, flatware, glassware, cookware, and many small appliances, ranging from hair dryers to toasters to food processors (and more). Stroll the peaceful grounds, enjoy the garden areas and century-old trees, view the traditional irrigation ditch (“acequia”) that still runs through the compound. Or just enjoy the outdoors from the comfort and convenience a large patio and multiple sitting areas, and a gas BBQ grill. All of that plus a shared 30 foot x 30 foot mini basketball court, a 6 person hot tub and a fire pit. The 2 bedroom cottage can accommodate 4 adults.
