and... Peter ;-) I'm Lucia, Italian Retired Export Manager, I run (and live at) Borgo Bazziganta with my Dutch-Swiss Knowledge Management consultant husband, Peter. After both of us enjoyed a globetrotting life, we decided to rebuild an old farm (Borgo) on the beautiful Colli Bolognesi, hills south of Bologna, and make the site a small paradise on earth for us to enjoy and share with friends and guests. The garden and land still need some work but we are diligently toiling at it to make it a pleasant and inspiring space to spend time in. Lucia hiking, foraging and cooking to everybody's delight, Peter cycling off and on road, being a great computer wizard and handyman and making fabulous espressos & cappuccinos. Our 3 British Shorthair cats, Dino, Titti & Wallis help entertain... We love Bohemian luxury, wine always in crystal glasses but often in a picnic hamper out on our land where views are most spectacular. Happiness can be in small things a Murano Chandelier over the big curvy designer bathtub, a lit fireplace in the living room with a good book from our extensive multilingual library, silver and heirloom porcelain... and good jazz or classic music. Both my husband Peter & I always had the pleasure of meeting new people and building bridges among different cultures, deriving from this great rewards including making us fluent in 5-plus languages. Hosting in this beautiful corner of Italy will ensure we stay in touch with the world, while remaining active in Dutch, Swiss, Slow Food and Transition networks in and around lovely Bologna. Oh, and we also host amazing social eating events (find us on Eatwith) and just as amazing Workawayers from all over the globe.
