A pleasant stay. Dan was very helpful. The house is literally next to the lovely Oxshott woods . It’s well equipped (kitchen has lots and lots of equipment!). The garden was not available for use as it is being redone but Dan told me about this in advance - so worth checking at the time if it is ready if a garden is important to your stay. It is literally on the station (part of it) which is so convenient but there is inevitable train noise (but this is clear from the description) but otherwise very peaceful. Also there is no private parking but plenty of station parking available - you need to download the app to register - do this as soon as you arrive or before as there is a short window before the restrictions come in (it’s automatic on the car registration as it enters the car park). I got a spot outside the house every time. Beds are comfy, TV in main bedroom and lounge. Comfy sofas ! Good shower . Very convenient and The Victoria pub is great and a short walk .

Due to a family bereavement, we booked on a Thursday afternoon for a Friday check in. Given the timeline, the hosts were unable to secure professional cleaners, but were there themselves finishing off the cleaning when the first of our party arrived. I'm sure we'd be giving 5* for cleanliness had there been time to get the professionals, but it was fairly clean anyway. Hosts gave us lots of good tips and local Intel upon check in. The house itself is the old station masters cottage, so it backs onto a railway line. Despite this, it's not particularly noisy and we didn't really notice the trains. There were seven of us (4 adults, 2 teens and an 11 year old) and the house felt spacious with different places for us all to sit. The real gem is the surroundings. Oxshott heath is (literally) on your doorstep, with lovely walks, including a great route into the village of Oxshott with a shop, cafe, pub and a few restaurants. Fantastic place and will book again if we're ever in the area.
