Cloggy’s Cottage is a newly renovated and refurbished bungalow situated in a cobbled square in the old part of Seahouses, just a stone’s throw from the harbour and coastal path. The central location means you’re only a few minutes walk from the village’s shops, pubs and restaurants. It sleeps up to 4 people in 2 bedrooms, one king size and one twin room. It has a well equipped kitchen/diner, modern shower room and spacious lounge with log burner. There is parking space for 1 car in the square. Cloggy’s Cottage was once part of an old herring yard back in the late 1800s and is situated in the oldest part of the village. It has been a residential home since the 1930s and under went a complete renovation and refurbishment in 2023. This included a new roof, new windows and doors, full insulation throughout, new kitchen and bathroom, new hard flooring and carpets in bedrooms, new beds and mattresses, new electric heaters and log burning stove. Now a cosy, spacious home from home and tastefully decorated, it is a well equipped cottage which retains many of its original stone features.

Anne is a fabulous host couldn't of asked for more. A beautiful home, warm & cosy and beautifully decorated. Spacious home, comfortable beds. Perfect location for some stunning walks.
Anne’s cottage was a perfect place to stay during our trip to Seahouses. Check in was smooth - Anne met us on the road and directed us to the cottage. She gave us a tour and was extremely friendly and welcoming. We were staying here to celebrate my sister’s 30th and Anne left a bottle of fizz and some other treats which was a nice touch. The cottage was clean, tidy and very homely. It was tucked away but a short walk to the centre of Seahouses near restaurants, pubs and the harbour. We will definitely be staying here again next time we go to Seahouses and would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in Northumberland.
We had a fabulous weekend stay with two children. The cottage is lovely with everything that you could possibly need. Beautifully decorated and felt homely and comfortable. Anne was really friendly, communicative and accommodating of our ever changing arrival time due to traffic. The location is ideal, central to the area but tucked away so is private and quiet. Pubs, restaurants and shops all within a few minutes walk at the most. Lots of things to do in the local area and we would definitely stay here again.
Immaculate cottage in a perfect location. The cottage has lots of history with brilliant photos used as decor on the walls. We stayed with an 8 and 4 year old, they loved it. Anne had even left Easter eggs as we arrived on Easter Monday. Also with a wet forecast she left a list of places to go to with young children. Cottage recently refurbished and done to a high standard. Log burner also helped to dry wet coats after rainy walks on the beach. We loved Cloggy's!

I was born and bred in Seahouses and spent the first 21 years of my life in Cloggy’s Cottage, the family home. My grandparents first lived here in the late 1930s then my parents when they married in the 1950s so Cloggy’s has been in my family for over 80 years. My husband Rob and I still live in Seahouses and brought our 2 children up here. Our aim is to ensure that your stay at our cottage is a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
