A wonderful desert getaway. An amazing location with spectacular views. Unlike the many cold and sterile feeling places we have found on Airbnb, Meg’s place felt comfortable and homey. I kind of want to live here.

The only thing that could’ve made my stay better is if I’d been there longer. The setting is incredible — great mountain views, beautiful sunrises, starry night skies, secluded, peaceful. The accommodations were very comfortable and there were a lot of thoughtful touches. Very friendly and accommodating hosts. Would love to come back! (Oh, and it’s only about a 15-minute walk to the Broadway trailhead at Saguaro National Park East!)

I stayed at Knightly’s ranch with my husband and two little ones and had the best experience. The ranch is located just minutes from Saguaro National Park and we explored there every single day because it was so close. There is a nice patio area in the back so you get to sit and watch the sunrise every morning with a hot cup of coffee. Our daughter loved feeding the horses and seeing the toads in the pond. The two dogs on the property were super sweet. We loved the small details like the bottle of wine and cinnamon rolls on arrival. We already want to come back!

As somebody who grew up in the Tucson area, I’m very familiar with this side of the city and the Saguaro National Monument East area in general. If you’re looking for a place to stay around here this is a great option. I now live in Asia and my family and I usually are looking for something unique during a visit back home. This place has it all, including the sound of coyotes at night, truly beautiful desert landscape, and access to horses. All communications with the host has been great, and the house is truly unique with a western style that fits environment perfectly. We especially joined waking up to coffee under the mesquite tree, feeding the horses after breakfast, and early dinners of tacos and beer at the outdoor table. Don’t forget to set your alarm for three in the morning to wake up and see the stars outside. We didn’t do much cooking at the house, but I can recommend pizza from Magpie’s and tacos from the Taco Stop truck. Be sure to try the jackfruit.

What a location! We were surrounded by the beauty fo the desert in a quiet and serene location, and night sky was incredible. The guest house had everything we needed and more. We hope to return soon.
