Great house. Great location. Fun, safe neighborhood with a lot of cool shops, bars and restaurants within walking distance. Spacious house with plenty of room for our family of four to have family time and time to relax on our own. Super cool screened in porch was my favorite hang out spot to read, scroll on the phone and strum my travel guitar. We had a few maintenance issues which the host immediately responded to and corrected. My hesitation to award a fifth star is simply that this home lacked a few of the comforts from home we’ve come to expect at 5-star homes. Simple things like a hair dryer, kitchen towels, oven mitts, scissors, wine glasses would have made a good stay fantastic.

The house was perfect! It was located near where we wanted to attend an event. Easy entry and house was as described! We had 2 couples and stayed 5 nights! It was nice for each couple to have their own bathroom! We plan to return.

This is an old and comfortable house on a quiet street in Lakewood, a very pretty and walkable city. It's close to shops and restaurants, and to beautiful Lakewood Park. The bedrooms are comfortable. There are 2 full bathrooms, which is unusual in a house this age. I can't give a five star overall rating because several items that I consider to be basic were lacking; for example, hairdryer, soap or shower gel in each bathroom, dish towels, pot holders, toaster, can and bottle openers, corkscrew, and wine glasses.

What made our stay at the House Hotel on Elmwood a great experience? -Spacious dining room, living room and kitchen. -excellent heating/cooling system -clean linens and beds -long, private driveway for parking several cars -clear directions and ease of entrance into house -immediate response from host when we asked a question
