Follow us at @saltandskylodgingco :) The Dark Moon Chalet is newly renovated A-Frame cabin overlooking Lake Cuyamaca with incredible views including the sunset! This gorgeous cabin is loaded with luxury amenities and upscale furnishings. Family friendly, dog friendly and perfect for a girls or boys trip or a relaxing getaway to the mountains. Just 1 hour outside of San Diego, but you feel like you are far away in a mountain chalet. If you drive 1 hour east of San Diego, there is a gorgeous lake called Lake Cuyamaca where you feel transported outside of Southern California. The cabin is tucked away in a quiet mountain neighborhood overlooking Lake Cuyamaca, only 15 minutes outside of Julian, famous for their apple pies and certified Dark Sky Community. Indulge in the cabins' luxury amenities like a cedar hot tub, rain shower, wood burning fireplace, wrap around deck, pool table and so much more! Our stay at the Dark Moon Chalet was spectacular! The cabin was nestled in a secluded mountain community with gorgeous views. It offered a relaxing and peaceful weekend getaway. The cabin was a short 10-15 minute drive to down town Julian that offered a variety of places to eat and shop. The amenities in the cabin were outstanding. The host really put care and thought into the decor and functionality of the amenities throughout the cabin. The wrap around deck had plenty of seating with a cozy fire pit perfect for a relaxing evening for stargazing of the clear beautiful sky. The cedar hot tub was also another bonus experience during our stay. The kitchen was fully stocked with useful kitchenware. There was fresh coffee beans and tea for the entire stay! Overall the cabin was nothing short of amazing. We would love to stay here again!
We had the most beautiful experience at Aubrey’s place in Julian. Everything was immaculate, and the vibes were amazing. I recommend using the hot tub and also looking up at the stars at night from the balcony 🤍 Thank you thank you!
We had a wonderful stay in Julian. The home was amazing with such attention to detail. We enjoyed listening to music on the record player while sitting by the fireplace and relaxing outside. Both the inside and outside are so homey and for a couple, friends, or family! Aubrey had very clear instructions for everything throughout the stay. She had multiple local recommendations and checked in regularly to make sure everything was going well during our stay. Truly a 5 star host and stay, we would love to come back and potentially check out more of her listings!

What a gorgeous place! We love every moment in the house! The pictures are alr so pretty but the house is even prettier than the photos!
