Edward was a great host in terms of communication and being available and flexible with us. His partner Joy was also great about working with us and providing us with whatever we needed. The caretaker was awesome too, very helpful and kind. Overall, we enjoyed staying in the house. We had a very large group, and it was a great space to accommodate all of us. The only issue we had was there was a general musty, moldy smell throughout the house (which is a common problem in Kenya during the rainy season, so we didn't mind it), but there were some wooden kitchen utensils with black mold on them, and everything in the drawers smelled moldy. The ceiling also had several leaks, so whenever it would rain heavily, there would be puddles in the kitchen, in the sitting room and on the stairs.
