You will stay in a small village at a manor house built in 1901 carefully restored preserving its authenticity. In the Granada geopark and surrounded by 4 natural parks, it is ideally placed to explore this rough but breathtaking region. As biologists, we deeply care about our environmental impact and propose an ecoturism stay. We created a comfortable & eco-concious space, limiting energy consumption, using local & organic food for meals and offering experiences that respect the environment. This bedroom is called based on the famous painter from the nearby town of Quesada, especially known for his paintings of peasants and surroundings landscapes. You will sleep in a double room of 11m² with a double bed of 140cm. The room is located on the first floor of the house with access by stairs. It has a window but no view. The bathroom is shared with the room of the Siret brother.

Castillejar is a small town situated in the heart of the Granada Geopark surrounded by 4 natural parks and several arqueological sites. The village is a typical trogloditic place, most of the inhabitant lives in caves houses. Here you will find one of the most beautiful badlands of the region. The badlands are a type of landscape with arid characteristics, extensively eroded by water and wind. Canyons, gullies, ravines, canals, fairy chimneys and other geological forms of the style are common in the badlands. The peculiar vegetation is formed of semi-desertic steppes surrounded by mountains with pine forests. Here you will have plenty of opportunities to discover nature, archeology and the local gastronomy. Discover our lamb AOC, locally produced goat cheese and many ecological almond and pistachios.
To arrive in the town of Castilléjar and visit surroundings; it would be easier to have a car. There is no bus service and few taxis service. The closest airport is GRANADA. Further close airports are Almeria, Malaga and Alicante (1h30, 3h, 3h drive). From Malaga airport, a bus lane (ALSA company) do the travel to Granada or less frequently to the nearest town of BAZA (30km of Castilléjar). We recommand you to rent a car at the airport or in Granada. If you need help on how to reach us do not hesitate to ask us.
