No, seriously, very unique area of ​​Geneva...

You have finally arrived and you are hungry... When you leave the house, go RIGHT and follow the tram tracks. You will see that, about 1 km away, up to the bridge over the Arve, the street along the tram line changes its name 4 times: rue Ancienne, rue du Marché, rue Saint-Victor and finally rue du Pont-Neuf . The nearest MIGRO supermarket is 250m from the house, at rue du Marché 16. Open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 7:30 a.m. - 7 p.m., Thursday 7:30 a.m. - 8 p.m., Friday 7:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m., Saturday 7 :30-6 p.m., Sunday CLOSED. Damn! And you arrived precisely on Sunday! Or finally… late at night, what to do??!! No problem: 110 m to the right of your house, rue Ancienne 41 (near tram stop) there is a small grocery store "Old Carouge" where you will find basic products, open Monday to Friday 7 a.m. to midnight and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to midnight. Otherwise, always following the tram rails, and approx. 700m from your house further down at rue Saint-Victor 5, you will find a “Tabac HR41” kiosk for basic products as well, which is open 7/7 from 7 a.m. to midnight… And for a little more choice - continue again: about 950m from your house, still along the tram tracks: at rue du Pont-Neuf 6 you will see Harry Shop, also open 7/7, from 7 a.m. to midnight. Plus, it gave you a nice walk around old Carouge.
If you do not have a car, the simplest means of transport will be the tram: the nearest stop for tram 12 (direction Moillesulaz) and 18 (direction CERN) is 100 m away, leaving to the RIGHT from your house. Tram 18 in twenty minutes takes you to the station, while the 12 turns to the central and commercial street of Geneva (also in fifteen-twenty min) and continues to Moillesulaz, on the French border.
Don't miss the charming Carouge market, open at Place du Marché 14 every Wednesday 7:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Thursday 3-9 p.m. and especially Saturday 6 a.m.-2 p.m. to fill your basket while enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of Carouge in the shade of plane trees.
Cafes and bistros – there are plenty of them in the area! The best known and traditional are Brasserie de la Bourse (place du Marché 7), Café des Négociants (Rue de la Filature 29), or Café du Marché (place du Marché 4) - this one is even open on Sundays.
