This was a very rustic but amazing place. We were bicycle touring, so getting to the top of the hill where the place is located was challenging at the end of a long day. It was a little tricky finding the walkway up to the house. We were met there by Irene's mother and she was very gracious, and had started a fire for us in the fireplace. The fireplace and a small space heater was the only heat sources, so be aware if staying there during the colder months. We had a great stay and it was neat being right below the old castle, and walking down to town and back for dinner and breakfast was amazing, if not a bit steep getting back up the hill to the house.
