Lets just say, if Roisin opened up this property as a long term rental, I would move there the same day. This place was everything i was looking for and more. It could not have been more peaceful. The country walks were lovely, the weather was great (rain, hail, sun; you name it). The nature views out the windows were wonderful. I spent my first 3 days there praying that the next guest would cancel AND THEY DID! WHOOP! so i stayed an additional week and it was the best thing I could have done. The space is great for cooking, yoga, painting, meditation, knitting, reading...you can do it all. It was warm and cozy, the shower is small but so nice and warm. Roisin is a wonderful host, I enjoyed my conversations with her very much. Ive been in Ireland for a month now, and while i have enjoyed every place i've stayed, the writers cabin has been the best. Ihope you enjoy it too! Also, the bed was so comfortable it was unreal. Thank you for a memorable stay!

I had an absolutely lovely time painting for 10 days in the Writers Cabin. Róísín is so lovely, warm, and welcoming. She offered to pick me up from Westport as I was traveling by public transit, and accomodated me when I arrived a little earlier than expected. The cabin itself is so cozy and stays super warm even in December. The shower has great water pressure and abundant hot water, the bed is very comfortable, and the surrounding area is GORGEOUS. I walked for hours in the Brackloon woods, hiked Croagh Patrick, and took the bus (comes 3x daily directly outside the cabin) into Westport many times. The cabin is stocked with everything you’ll need to cook, and for groceries there is an organic zero waste market in Westport — it was so convenient to get stocked up with just enough of everything I needed while staying here. The locals are very friendly and when you tell people you’re staying with Róísín, they have such kind things to say about her. I hope to return one day!

I can't say enough how wonderful my stay was! I would highly recommend the Knappaghmore retreat spot. The place was clean and cozy, with nature trails all around. Perfect place to reflect, write, and feel close to nature. I was able to get out and see a lot of the surrounding areas with stunning views. Róísín was very friendly and helpful. My adapter for electronics wasn't working and she helped me with it, and answered any other questions I had, both before and during my stay. I definitely would love to come back!
