Jean Louis was the perfect host! He was helpful, attentive and very generous ...even going as far as to recommend and book restaurants, bring us food and drink to try and driving some family members to the airport! The house is quite remarkable! The photos do not do it justice, it is completely unique and there are so many amazing details and designs, that you notice something new every day. It is comfortable, so well equipped and a beautiful and relaxing space to be in. From the vines in the conservatory, to the light up bath, to the Cuban influenced shower room.. everything has been designed with so much thought and creativity. The location is great, a short cycle ride (bikes are available) from the centre of La Rochelle and yet so peaceful and quiet. It is within easy reach of shops and markets and there is so much to do in and around La Rochelle. We loved the outside area, vegetable garden, leafy patio and swimming pool. We highly recommend it and would love to come back.

Lovely house, full of character with very quirky, imaginative and artistic decor. Jean Louis is a great host. Very good at explaining all the features of the house, recommendations for local sightseeing, beaches and restaurants and very welcoming with cheese and wine. Our two families with a total of five children aged 7 to 15 all enjoyed the house the pool and the location.

Maison superbe avec une grande piscine!Très comfortable, beaucoup d’espace et très bien décorée. Propriétaire très aimable avec bon goût. Un grand merci à Jean-Louis! Mais également à Fabien et Michèle pour le bon acceuil! Location idéale pour visiter la ville de La Rochelle et l’ Île de Ré. Nourir les poissons, cueillir des tomates et courgettes fraîches.. des activités agréables en surplus..!
