Simon's place is in a superb location and has great transport links. His communication was prompt. The apartment itself was clean & comfortable. However, it would be unfair to the people looking to book here without pointing out the following issues: the bedroom curtains are missing. They've been replaced by some very see-through blinds that are awful at blocking out the light, especially during the seasons where the sun shines through in the early hours of the morning. We were awoken far too early for our liking every day without fail due to this. Secondly, when booking, we asked Simon if we could arrange an early check in, to which he said he can accomodate as long as we ask the day before. When asking a day before, he informed us it'd cost £30 for only 2 hours earlier than the standard time. This information should've been available before booking, so that we could plan around it. I found it a little disingenuous that a late check out fee is stated, but an early check in fee isn't.

Simon is a very professional host who puts up clear rules. Reading about them it reminded me of summer cxamp when I was young ;-) but as I said - they are easy to follow. It is not as luxurious as the listing suggested with heavily worn chairs and broken elements of the kitchen cupboards and one of the lights wasn't working. I didn't bother to tell Simon about these little shortcomings as they had no negative influence on my stay. All essentials you might need was proivided for in the apartment and I found the bed to be extremely comfortable. A TV would be a nice addition. The apartment couldn't be in a better area with just three minutes to walk to Liverpool Street station from where you can reach Heathrow airport in about 40 minutes on the Elisabeth Line. Spittalfield Market and rmany restaurants for a wide range of budgets are a stone throw away with the "Breakfast Club" in the neighbour house. I highly recommend the apartment and Simon as a host.
