Cousens Farm is a retired farm located close to Kingsbridge and Salcombe in south Devon. The Loft is secluded and self contained. The large first floor studio style bedroom / lounge features a king size bed and a large, comfortable corner sofa. There is also a bar stool dining space on this floor. On the ground floor is a separate, compact and well equipped kitchen. The loft is perfect for couples and there is space for a cot. We welcome a well behaved dog too. Outside is your own private hot tub, dining area and bijou summerhouse. Ideal for wining and dining with views in all weather. This area is private, a corner of the garden all to yourselves. There is access to a cool lounging pod, the perfect place to sit and enjoy the countryside views. The Loft at Cousens has been listed on Airbnb for several years and had superb reviews. We have just taken over which means starting from scratch as an Airbnb listing. However it is proven, guests have loved staying here! Close by is a well equipped gym, a pool table (both shared) and we also have mountain bikes and kayaks for hire. The perfect way to explore the country lanes, estuary and creeks of this stunning area. Cousens Farm is located just a couple of miles from the closest beach at Beesands. There are many more close by including Slapton Sands, Blackpool Sands, Gara, Mill Bay and the beautiful, secluded coves at Lannacombe and Mattiscombe. Surf at Bantham and Bigbury and definitely check out Hope Cove, Thurlestone and South Milton Sands if you have time Historic Salcombe with its collection of shops, cafes and restaurants can be reached easily via the pedestrian ferry at East Portlemouth. Dartmouth can be reached easily. There are some excellent pubs and restaurants within easy reach including the excellent Millbrook Inn at nearby South Pool, The Cricket at Beesands, The Pigs Nose at East Prawle and The Tradesmans Inn at Stokenham. For fine dining head to the polished Seahorse in Dartmouth or Twenty Seven in Kingsbridge. In addition to the beaches there is so much to do in this amazing area. The South West Coastal Path stretches along this coast and provides some of the best walking in the UK. Sail, surf, hire a boat, paddleboard at sea or on the gentle waters of the estuary, fish, play golf, go crabbing, rock pooling, check out a National Trust property. Kingsbridge offers a cinema and a leisure centre and both Plymouth and Exeter are worth a visit.
