For short excursions in the surrounding area, I recommend visiting Po Lin Monastery/Tian Tan Buddha and Wisdom Path (approximately 35 minutes by Lantau Island Bus route 2). It's a Buddhist sanctuary situated on the picturesque Ngong Ping Plateau at an elevation of 520 meters. Another option is to explore Tai O Fishing Village and its stilt houses (about 50 minutes by Lantau Island Bus route 1). It offers a glimpse of a traditional fishing village with its waterways and charming waterborne houses, often referred to as the "Venice of the East."

Within walking distance from my house, you'll find Silvermine Bay Beach just a 2-minute walk away, and Mui Wo Market is only a 7-minute walk. If you're planning a visit to Disneyland, it's just 18 miles away. You can take the 3M bus from my place to Tung Chung MTR Station (approximately 35 minutes) and transfer to the Disneyland Resort Line (around 10 minutes) to reach the Disneyland Station.
